Empowering youth through education, sports and recreation
YOUTH NETWORK INC.
Village of Champions Youth Network Inc. (VOC) uses 21st Century best practices and academic and Sport Based Youth Development (SBYD) intervention methods to engage and service youth in Philadelphia and its surrounding suburbs.
Village of Champions Sports and Recreation is a program of Village of Champions Youth Network Inc. It provides a platform where youth can be active, improve their physical fitness and remain athletically competitive in their chosen sport. The sport programs are designed to teach sportsmanship, teamwork, build character and encourage youth to become participants in civic and community service initiatives.
VOC believes every student athlete in the sports program should receive a quality education and an opportunity to explore their career goals. The "Options" for success program helps students to achieve academic success while developing the essential tools for socal growth.
RESEARCH
Clinical studies show that sports and recreation programs can help youth establish lifelong, healthy, physical activity patterns. Regular physical activity can ward off life-threatening diseases; reduce feelings of depression and anxiety; help control weight and obesity; and build and maintain healthy bones, muscles, and joints, according to the President's Council on Physical Fitness.

A after school program
Join us at the Rolling Thunder Skating Rink for a day of skating and fun. Skating is a great form of exercise and a way to lose weight and improve health. With the schools on holiday break, Monday February 16th is a great time to keep the kids active.
